A revealing guided stroll back through time. Weather Permitting

 

Wednesday Trolley Tours, 10am 

September 10 - October 15

Hallett Barn Visitors Center

Two-hour guided trolley tour, featuring:

Falmouth-by-the-Sea, an exploration of Falmouth’s seafaring past on September 10, 17 & 24

Living Off the Land, a journey through Falmouth’s agricultural past on October 1, 8 & 15

$15 per person includes admission to museums.  Reservations are recommended.

 

Thursday Teas in Julia’s Garden, 1-3pm

Tea, pastries and finger sandwiches served in the

Colonial Boxwood Garden at Museums on the Green

$12 per person includes admission to the museums.  Reservations are recommended.

Children ages 7-11 and their adult caregivers meet for interactive history discoveries. 

This is a FREE event, but space is limited.

Bring a cup or two of small seashells and create a valentine like the ones in our collection

 

August 15-Tattoos and Sea Chanteys

Get a temporary tattoo and sing some work songs

Museums on the Green
A casual off-hours look at the new exhibit “Living Off the Land” with music by the Falmouth Fiddlers and light refreshments under the tents. FREE event.

Jazz in the Garden Fundraiser
Museums on the Green
Toe-tappin’ Dixieland music by New Black Eagle Jazz Band, a silent auction and cocktails and hors d’oeurves under the tent. $90 per person; Reservations 508-548-4857.

Katharine Lee Bates Poetry Fest
Museums on the Green
 A celebration of rhythm and verse for the whole family. Winners of the Katharine Lee Bates Poetry Contest will join community leaders and performance artists. Birthday cupcakes and ice cream for all. FREE event.

Local historian Len Miele talks about the poet’s childhood in Falmouth, pointing out places of significance and how the town influenced her lifelong writings.

Over 40 antique dealers gather on the Museum grounds.
